Ledger® Live is your all-in-one companion to manage your crypto securely. Whether you're just getting started or already own a Ledger® device, this guide will walk you through the login process, setup steps, and best practices to get the most out of your crypto journey.
Step 1: Download and Install Ledger® Live
To begin, download the official Ledger® Live application from the Ledger website. Ensure that you're downloading the app from the official source to avoid phishing attempts.
Ledger® Live is available for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS. Install the application and launch it to begin setup.
Step 2: Connect Your Ledger® Device
Once the app is running, connect your Ledger® Nano S, Nano S Plus, or Nano X via USB or Bluetooth (for compatible devices). Ensure that your device is updated with the latest firmware.
Unlock your Ledger® device using your PIN code. If you’re setting up for the first time, follow the on-screen instructions to initialize your device and record your 24-word recovery phrase securely.
Step 3: Login to Ledger® Live
Ledger® Live does not use a traditional username/password login. Instead, access is granted through the secure connection of your physical Ledger® hardware wallet. This ensures that only you can access your wallet and assets.
Simply connect your device, open the Ledger® Live app, and authorize access when prompted. This secure login process protects you from unauthorized access and online threats.
Step 4: Add and Manage Your Crypto Accounts
After logging in, you can add various cryptocurrency accounts including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and over 5,500 supported tokens. Click on “Accounts” in the sidebar and follow the prompts to add your desired crypto wallets.
